Among the may other things that progressives need to do is to connect college progressive groups to local democratic politics. Many students get riled up and are passionate about some particular issue, but don't mke the connection to go volunteer for their local mayoral race.
While the functions of most democratic parties are not generally that exciting; phone calls, leafleting, visibility events; these are the building blocks of democracy and crucial to winning elections.
Many colleges will try to do debates....bad idea
They are boring
Try having movie nights and "ask me" booths
Write competing columns in your campus newspapers
